Verification & First Test

End-to-end flow

1

1) User requests content

  • A user requests a movie or show in Overseerr.

  • Requests can be auto-approved or require manual approval (depending on your Overseerr rules).

2

2) Sonarr/Radarr picks it up

  • Sonarr (TV) or Radarr (Movies) receives the request.

  • The *arr app selects a release based on your quality profile and availability.

3

3) Prowlarr provides indexers

  • Prowlarr centralizes indexers and syncs them to Sonarr/Radarr.

  • Sonarr/Radarr uses those indexers to search for releases.

4

4) SABnzbd downloads

  • Sonarr/Radarr sends the chosen NZB to SABnzbd.

  • SABnzbd downloads and unpacks to your staging/downloads location.

5

5) Import + Plex library update

  • Sonarr/Radarr imports the completed download into the final library path (movies/series).

  • Plex detects the new media (scan/partial scan), fetches metadata, and it becomes available to stream.

Notes

  • Keep paths consistent between containers (downloads + media libraries) to avoid import/path-mapping issues.

  • Ensure permissions (UID/GID) allow Sonarr/Radarr to move/rename files into the final library.
